What Is KRIHOS International?

OUR STORY Krihos International created AXL Management System as a software solution that automates and simplifies organizational Risk Management, reduces costs, eliminates waste, and continually improves operations. Krihos co-founder Don Kricho relied on his extensive risk and lean management experience with leading international manufacturers to create the conceptual design of the AXL Management System. Co-founder Scott Kricho employed innovative software design to translate the concept into a powerful yet user-friendly application that continues to evolve. Industry leaders in risk management and engineering/construction management rely on AXL to support their award-winning risk management programs. And Krihos depends on user feedback and suggestions to continually improve AXL capabilities and ensure that the application evolves with client needs. OUR VISION During his 40-year career as a hands-on occupational safety professional, Don Kricho has experienced a dramatic transformation in his approach to risk management. During the early years, he began questioning many of the widely accepted principles guiding the profession because he could see that the results were inconsistent and unpredictable. Like many others in the industry, Don struggled to effectively integrate the “silver bullets” that were touted as the newest and best way to manage safety and health control in the workplace. While many professionals continued to struggle with this approach, Don experienced an epiphany when, as S&H Director for Mazda’s first North American auto assembly center, he was introduced to the management system concepts espoused by W. Edwards Deming. He realized that the unparalleled success of the Mazda venture was a tribute to the effectiveness of Deming’s Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Guided by this fundamental concept, Don created the AXL Management System to automate and simplify the application of the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Today, AXL has grown into a comprehensive tool that provides the organization and direction that EHS/risk management professionals need to establish, implement, and continually improve EHS/risk management systems.
