Founded in 1958, the Gambone Development Company has been a leader in the building industry for over forty years. The three original owners began as carpenters pooling their talents in demolition, excavation, masonry, and concrete to form Gambone Brothers Construction Company. As the company began to evolve, the profits from their early construction were used to acquire land for housing developments and apartments. By the late 1960's, Gambone Brothers had developed hundreds of houses and owned close to 1000 apartments. The first commercial construction began with Zern's Market in 1967. Throughout the 1970's and 1980's, Gambone Brothers grew into a full service development company building quality construction industrial, office, rental and residential structures in the Northern Philadelphia Suburbs. The next 16 years saw dramatic growth in the Commercial Department with the addition of 6 major retail centers, 7 major industrial parks and 4 major office buildings. The Commercial division has developed over 3 million square feet of office, retail and warehouse properties for Fortune 500 Companies, including Merck, Wyeth, Ayerst, PH-Ohio Corporation and UTI Corporation.
