About
Kelsan has written the “Book on Green” which allows our customers to develop their own green cleaning programs. Kelsan’s goal is to make cleaning easier and healthier. It’s fast, secure, simple and ready to use when you are. Browse our extensive list of products, enter orders, check account information or pay invoices today. In 1950, Till Keller founded Kelsan in Knoxville, Tennessee as one of the first true janitorial and sanitary supply (“Jan-San”) distributors in East Tennessee. Headquartered in Knoxville, Kelsan offers the region’s largest selection of sanitary maintenance related products and has consistently served as the leading “Jan-San” distributor throughout the Southeast. In 1999, Kelsan continued its growth by adding packaging supplies to its offering by acquiring Industrial Paper and Packaging Corporation. The company’s product line includes floor maintenance equipment, paper supplies, can liners, floor cleaners and waxes, disinfectants, degreasers, matting, carpet cleaners and protectors, wall cleaners, brooms, wax applicators, brushes, deodorants, foodservice disposables and trash receptacles. The packaging supplies include shrink-wrap, tapes, foam and bubble, strapping, paper, and numerous other specialized products. In addition, Kelsan operates a paper and foam/bubble converting plant that allows for a quick turnaround when creating customer specific “custom” packaging products. Kelsan has 50+ sales representatives that cover its distribution network, which encompasses the Southeast. This distribution network is supported with regional offices in Nashville, TN; Johnson City, TN; Chattanooga, TN; and Charlotte, NC. Kelsan also services the needs of national accounts through its ownership in Network Services — a national buying and marketing group comprised of the leading Sanitary Supply/Paper distributors throughout the country. Kelsan sells to many different types of customers ranging from nursing homes, hospitals, public and private schools, grocery stores, churches, industrial plants, office buildings, building service contractors, hotels, motels, restaurants, retail stores, convenience stores and service stations. Specifically, Kelsan’s strengths include its award-winning floor equipment service department that offers both in-shop and on the road equipment repair and preventive maintenance. Recently, Kelsan was named as an authorized Tennant distributor (Tennant is the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial grade ride-on floor maintenance equipment). Also, because of its broad chemical supply and packaging products, Kelsan is effective in addressing the specific needs of industrial customers. Finally, the company also excels in serving the healthcare industry by offering a broad selection of products ranging from the latest disinfectants and incontinent products, in addition to stocking over 170 different types of can liners. Building on a 60+ year history, Kelsan’s goal is to be the most innovative and reliable distributor of equipment, packaging and sanitary products, and is dedicated to delivering solutions to cleaning and packaging needs, on a timely basis, at the agreed upon price, and in a manner that is easy and convenient for customers. At Kelsan, “We train and equip people to effectively clean and supply facilities” utilizing Bright Solutions, “The smart way to clean!”
