What Is National YoungArts Foundation?

We’re about dreams. For more than 25 years, the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) has been dedicated to nurturing and supporting young artists as they pursue their dreams. Talent. Aspiration. Dedication. Hard work. Luck. It takes all of this – and more – to make it as an artist. The “and more” is where NFAA’s youngARTS program comes in. We provide support, education, and recognition to high school senior–aged artists at a critical time in their emerging careers. youngARTS evaluates students against a standard of excellence for their discipline and age. Approximately 10 percent of the 6-8,000 annual applicants receive scholarships and awards. Of those, up to 150 students are chosen to participate in youngARTS Week, during which they are brought to Miami for an all-expenses-paid week of master classes, showcase performances, exhibitions, interdisciplinary activities, enrichment programs, interviews, and the final auditions.
